“The Iceland retreat was an awesome and unforgettable experience. The careful planning, energy, and thoughtfulness that Kathy brought to all of the yoga classes made them inclusive and empowering for all levels. The excursions went way above and beyond your usual group travel experience, and included personalized touches from a wonderful local guide, with deep connection to the spiritual and magical aspects of the land, and a lot of hidden gems an average tourist would never discover, all in a gorgeous setting. It was a perfect balance of movement, mindfulness, and adventure with a great group. I highly recommend this trip!"

“Having never attended a yoga retreat before, I wasn't sure what to expect from Kathy and Iceland. Would I be the least flexible person in the studio? I haven't done much yoga since covid started, so I was definitely uncertain how this would go, but my time in Iceland with Kathy exceeded every expectation I could've had. Kathy is an amazing teacher who matches the energy of the room, her playlists are legendary for a reason, and I can honestly say I've never felt so comfortable or had so much fun in a yoga class. But even more so, Kathy is a wonderful person and a great travel companion. We went all over Iceland, hiking, horseback riding, and checking out lagoons, and she added to every experience, was fun and easy to be around, and made our trip that much more amazing."

“I had an amazing time! Thank you for all of your hard work, and attention to every detail of the retreat. You gave us all an incredible gift - an adventure to remember for life! I truly enjoyed the yoga! You create such a calm, fun, open yoga experience for participants at all levels."

"I had a truly incredible time in Iceland. I have travelled to over 50 countries, and have never seen landscapes and experienced nature in the way I could in Iceland. Ulrika, one of our lovely hosts, mentioned feeling ‘held’ by the earth in Iceland, and I completely agree. It was a really grounding and special experience. The relaxing and empowering yoga, hikes, geothermal hot springs, and outdoor meditation time fit so nicely together for the body and soul. Our hosts, Andreas and Ulrika, made us feel like part of their family, and shared with us authentic parts of Iceland’s culture throughout the trip.
Yoga with Kathy in the mornings was a relaxing and empowering way to start the day. When I met Kathy in 2020, she quickly became my favourite yoga teacher, and I look forward to when I get to flow with her. She balances the physical and mindfulness parts of yoga really well. Her classes are inclusive, she gets to know her students, and carefully plans her classes around their needs. This was my second retreat with Kathy and type of people drawn to her retreats are great groups of fellow yogis. She creates a really supportive environment for people to recharge and grow.
I would so highly recommend this retreat, and yoga with Kathy!"

"I haven’t been to many yoga retreats, but I find Kathy’s extra special. There’s something about the care & attention she pays to every bit of the experience which resonates strongly with me.
From the intricately crafted playlist to the encouragement, teachings, use of all the senses through oils & balms, it all makes me come away feeling like I am a better, more rounded person.”

ABOUT ICELAND:
Iceland is one of the planet’s true gems. With a total population of only 330,000, Iceland has struck a perfect balance between a warm, welcoming culture and the raw, untamed beauty of its vast mountainous landscapes. While most tourist groups and cruise lines visit the southern capital city Reykjavik (where the majority of population is), we’ll be heading to 66°North Iceland to the town of Akureyri–one of Iceland’s best kept secrets. The cultural capital of Iceland, Akureyri has been voted the number one destination in all of Europe by Lonely Planet on more than one occasion. With a population of only 18,000, a mild climate on the longest fjord in the country, and close proximity to the Arctic Circle (meaning amazing Northern Lights!), Northern Iceland is truly THE place to visit.
